How to Use The Forum
Hi everyone. A few of you have asked for a tutorial on how to navigate the new forum. Below are some pointers.
MEMBERS & NEW MEMBERS:
Once you have registered you automatically become a member. As soon as we get notified of your registration, we will send you 2 emails - 1 with your temporary password which will allow you to log in & the 2nd asking a few questions so that we can verify that you are a current POINT OF RETURN client or alumni. Once you've answered those questions, your status will be changed to Approved Member. Members & New Members will be allowed to view posts but not respond or post until approved.
APPROVED MEMBERS:
Once you are approved, log into http://forums.pointofreturn.com. Enter your username that you registered with & your temporary password. Across the top you will see several BLUE links (all blue text are clickable links). Below are what they do:
INDEX:
This will give you show you all the forums. You can click on any of the forums to see what has been posted. For example: ANTIDEPRESSANTS: once clicking on that link it will show you more detail which are called TOPICS. You can click on any of the blue topic links to see what has been posted. To the right of each topic will be how many people have viewed it & how many people have replied. Next to the topic as well it will let you know if there is a new post or not & further to the right will tell you who last posted. If you click the title of the topic that will show you the entire thread. You can scroll down to read everything. If you click on the link to the right of the post that says Last Post - then that will take you straight down the thread to the most recent post. This is useful if you have already read all the other posts & just want to get caught up with the latests posts. Under all posts is where you can reply.
USER LIST :
This will give you a quick list of all the Members, New & Approved. You can click on any of the users to send them an email directly. Also, this is where you can click on your own user name and update any pertinent info. The 1st screen should already be filled out - but you'll notice on the left there are other links. The 2nd link is called Personal. This is optional but you can fill out more info on yourself, your name & where you are from. The 2nd link on the left Messaging I'm not sure what it is. The next link on the left is Personality. This is great. You can add avatars (which are fun photos that can be downloaded for free (just google "free avatars") & upload. This photo will go under your name. i.e. LC, Terry, Andrea, & Alesandra all have one. The next thing you can fill out is your signature. This is automatically be placed under any post. So you can put the meds your' on, or your name, but I also like for you guys to put the state or country you're from. Check out other signatures from posts for ideas.

Profile - same as above where you click your name under User List

CONTACT US - A quick link to our general email
